Bidriware is a decorative form of metalwork dating back to the 15th century. With its roots in Persia, this craft of silver inlay is unique to the Indian Deccan. This unique metal form by Stephen Cox is hand casted from an alloy of copper and zinc. The final coating of earth, found only at the Fort of Bidar, transforms the monochrome surface, lending unique depth to the blackness of Bidriware.

"Art and design are about emotions, and rarely about trends. If you feel a connection to something, pause. If it evokes joy, it’s meant for you."
- Astha Khetan, Founder, The House of Things
To celebrate the launch of The House of Things Gallery, a group of 30+ eclectic visionaries from India and across the world created bespoke objects of design bringing alive their unique vision of ‘An Udaipur Sojourn’ as an ode to the heritage and artistry of the land. From art furniture and bespoke design objects to heritage textiles and sculptural lighting, each piece carries a story of modern luxury – whether it’s the precision of an artist’s handcraft or the brilliance of a finely-cut gemstone.
