The Met x Eichholtz presents the Wall Art Inlay Menes, a set of two intricately framed panels inspired by ancient Egypt’s symbolic artistry and rich architectural legacy. These works are named after the pharaoh Menes, the founder of Memphis, the region in which the Museum’s scarab was found. Scarabs were revered symbols of rebirth and protection, frequently used in temple ornamentation and royal artifacts. This wall art set honours that heritage through contemporary craftsmanship and timeless symbolism.
