This vintage silver plated mechanical perfume caddy in the shape of a bud features a delicate etching of petals on it. The finial on top is the lever, and pushing it down releases the catch that opens up the bud to reveal a caddy for 4 perfume bottles. Fashioned after 19th-century French mother of pearl and tortoiseshell “egg” mechanical perfume holders.
