THE HOUSE OF THINGS STORY

Nestled in the heart of Udaipur, a city where time dances with art, The House of Things was conceived as a portal to discovery - showcasing what a home could be. Since its inception in 2015, it has evolved into a revered curator of luxury decor and furnishings, weaving a narrative of craftsmanship, culture, and contemporary allure.

Siblings in law Astha and Manan Khetan’s journey is one of passion, perseverance, and an unyielding love for design. Initially set to launch an e-commerce platform for fashion, fate redirected their course, leading to the birth of The House of Things.

Founded by the creative visionaries in 2015, what began at their dining table as a team of four has flourished into a thriving workforce of 80 dedicated professionals, standing today as an icon in the luxury design space.

A curator of beauty, a seeker of stories — Astha’s vision for The House of Things is rooted in a love for art, craft, and the extraordinary. Raised in Udaipur’s rich cultural tapestry and shaped by global design influences, she brings together rare, meaningful pieces that really strike a chord.

From its inception, The House of Things has been a Pandora's box of exceptional design and art—a go-to destination for discerning aesthetes, collectors, and design enthusiasts seeking rare, storied, and exquisitely crafted pieces to elevate their space.

Its anthology boasts over 300 distinguished brands, offering a cultivated mix of furniture, lighting, home decor, rugs, wallpaper, kitchen & dining, curios, and gifts. A haven for collectors and tastemakers, The House of Things is home to global icons like Tom Dixon, Jagdish Suthar, Scarlet Splendour, and Gufram, while also fostering exclusive collaborations with leading design visionaries such as Rhea Kapoor and Feroze Gujral.

With an extensive repertoire of 8000+ meticulously sourced products, the brand provides one of the most comprehensive design selections in the industry—an endless inspiration for those who seek the extraordinary.

The House of Things Gallery is both a journey and a destination — an immersive 25,000-square-foot space dedicated to thoughtfully curated art, furniture, homeware, and rare collectibles from across the world. Each piece is purposefully designed and rich with heritage.

Nestled within an Amla Bagh, where trees were meticulously relocated to frame a space imbued with nature’s quiet elegance, the gallery is a sanctuary of creative expression. Every morning, the team indulges in a shot of freshly pressed juice as an everyday ritual.
