ABOUT ESHITA MARWAH

Eshita Marwah founded /e in early 2015. After completing her Masters from the University of Pennsylvania in 2011, and working for CERN for the next 3 years in Analog Circuit Design, Eshita decided it was time to answer her calling and head back to India, to chase her interior design dreams. Infusing her natural affinity towards art with intelligent design, Eshita created a world inspired by her travels and myriad life experiences. /e which simply reads ‘by e’ is everything conceptualized, designed and brought to life by E/Eshita.

Villa Marina is a stunning 22,000 sq. feet tropical paradise located on the banks of the Nerul River in Goa. /e was commissioned to renovate and rejuvenate this 20 year old property, which spans four floors and includes 6 bedrooms, 9 bathrooms, and extensive family and living areas.

Each bedroom boasts a unique theme: Wes Anderson II, Eames, Jumanji, Old Goa, and a Montessori-inspired kids room. Eshita enhanced the home with custom lighting, artwork, and rugs, transforming the space with eclectic furniture, hand-painted walls, wallpapers, striking upholstery, accessories, bright colours, and quirky touches.

This eclectic home is a harmonious blend of diverse materials and styles, creating a seamless look throughout. The materials and colours vary from room to room, with elements sourced from various homegrown brands, adding to its unique charm and character

Characterized by punchy accents, colour-filled vignettes, and offbeat details with a focus on craftsmanship, Eshita’s work often explores the intersection of modern wall art and design, resulting in spaces that are both practical and aesthetically alluring. /e’s work comes into prominence with her choice of notable artworks, furniture accents, and décor objects featuring a sculptural silhouette, highlighting the beauty of the materials.

A WORD FROM ESHITA

“I have used a range of products for a bunch of my sites and it's been a very smooth process all the way. You know what they say about not buying all your furniture from one place, luckily that doesn't apply to The House of Things as each room in this house has so much variety. THOT is a one-stop-shop for curated-everything!
