Oorjaa is a design studio rooted in material innovation, sustainability, and mindful crafting, founded by Jenny Pinto in 1998 as Bangalore's first handmade paper studio, and later joined by Radeesh Shetty. 'Oorjaa,' the name itself, meaning energy or life force in Sanskrit, captures the spirit that drives the brand. From handmade paper to lighting and installations that reimagine waste as resource. At the heart of it all is the handmade-where artisan skill and design innovation meet to create work that sustains livelihoods, builds community, and honours both people and planet.
